Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

INTO BIOTECH (https://intobiotech.com) is an independent publication about biotechnology and pharmaceutical research. This policy explains how information is handled when you read the site, leave a comment, or contact the operator.

For privacy questions or requests concerning your information, email kevineutical@gmail.com. Please do not include medical records, financial account details, passwords, or other sensitive information in a public comment.

Information you provide

When you leave a comment, WordPress collects the information entered in the comment form, including your name, email address, optional website address, and comment. It also records your IP address and browser user-agent information to support moderation and help detect spam or abuse.

An approved comment, its display name, any website link you provide, and an associated avatar may be visible to other readers. Your email address is not displayed as part of the standard public comment. Information you choose to put in the comment itself can be read and copied by others.

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you send. We use that information to respond to your inquiry and handle the matter you raised. Email is handled through Gmail, subject to Google’s privacy practices.

Technical information and site operation

The site’s hosting and security systems may process information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, access times, and failed login attempts. This supports delivery of the site, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and protection of the website and its visitors.

WordPress and the site’s caching and security tools support these functions. Information may be accessible to the operator and service providers where needed to operate, secure, or maintain the site. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address fraud, abuse, or a security incident.

Comments, avatars, and cookies

If you select the comment form’s option to remember your details, WordPress stores your name, email address, and website in browser cookies so you do not need to enter them again. These comment cookies normally last for one year. You can leave that option unchecked and can remove existing cookies in your browser settings.

Avatars are enabled on this site. A hash derived from your email address may be sent to Gravatar to look for an associated profile image. Loading an avatar can also send technical information, such as your IP address, to that service. See the Automattic Privacy Policy for information about Gravatar.

For users who access the WordPress login or administration area, WordPress uses additional cookies for login sessions and display preferences. A temporary login-page cookie checks whether cookies are accepted and ends when the browser closes. Login cookies normally last two days, or two weeks when “Remember Me” is selected; display-preference cookies normally last one year. An editor cookie identifying the post last edited normally expires after one day. Logging out removes login cookies.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking cookies may affect features such as sign-in or remembering comment details.

Website analytics and cookie choices

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, article views, and how readers find this site. When you allow analytics cookies, Google may receive page addresses and titles, referral information, approximate location, device and browser details, timestamps, and cookie identifiers. These reports help us improve the site. We do not send comment text, names, or email addresses to Analytics intentionally. Please do not put personal information in page URLs.

Analytics is blocked until you choose to accept it in our cookie banner. You may select Reject and continue reading, or use Cookie Preferences to change your choice later. Our WPConsent banner stores your choice for 30 days. Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_K210Q9KKF0 may persist for up to two years unless deleted or updated. Browser controls can also delete or block cookies. Declining analytics does not prevent access to articles.

Google processes Analytics data under its privacy terms. Google signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in our Analytics tag configuration. Analytics counts reflect consenting, measurable visits and may differ from actual traffic. For more information, see Google Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data privacy and security.

Advertising and Google AdSense

The site may introduce advertising, including Google AdSense. The following information applies when Google advertising is enabled; it does not mean that every visit currently includes advertising.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve advertisements based on your previous visits to this site or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to tailor ads using visits across participating sites. Advertising services may also use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to deliver and measure ads and help prevent fraud.

You can manage or opt out of Google’s personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. The Digital Advertising Alliance’s YourAdChoices page provides choices for participating third-party advertising companies. Opting out of personalization does not necessarily remove advertisements or stop processing needed for ad delivery, measurement, or fraud prevention.

Google explains its processing in “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” and in the Google Privacy Policy. If an advertising-consent notice is presented, use its controls to make or change your choices. Reading this policy does not itself constitute consent to advertising cookies.

External links and embedded content

Articles link to external sources. Following a link takes you to a service governed by its own privacy policy. If an article includes externally hosted embedded content, such as a video, loading that content may allow its provider to receive technical information, use cookies, and track interactions, including in connection with an account you hold with that provider.

The operator does not control the privacy practices of those external services. Review the relevant provider’s policy before interacting with it.

How long information is kept

Comments and their associated metadata do not have an automatic expiration under the current WordPress setup and may remain until removed. They support the published discussion and moderation of subsequent comments. You may request deletion using the contact address below.

Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to address the inquiry and any related operational or legal obligations. Technical and security records are subject to the retention settings of the relevant systems and providers. Some information may need to be retained for legal, administrative, or security reasons even after a deletion request.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can browse articles without posting comments, choose what to share publicly, decline the comment-detail cookie option, and manage cookies in your browser. For personal information held by the site, you can request access, an export, correction, or deletion by emailing kevineutical@gmail.com. Please identify the relevant comment or interaction so the request can be located.

We may need to verify that a request relates to your information before acting on it. The rights available and any exceptions depend on applicable law. Requests concerning information held independently by Google, Gravatar, or another external provider may also need to be directed to that provider.

Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their policies explain their processing arrangements and relevant protections. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when site features or information-handling practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest update.
